He has already been to Leipzig, has seen the training grounds and the city. He’s even had an initial check-up. According to BILD information, the announcement of goalkeeper Janis Blaswich (30) to RB Leipzig is only a matter of time.
However: The ex-Gladbacher is still under contract with Holland club Heracles Almelo until the summer. Blaswich will not come to Leipzig until July 1st. Then he should complete the goalkeeping team with Peter Gulacsi (31) and Josep Martinez (23).
Then as number three, because Philipp Tschauner (36) is ending his career and is supposed to switch to the youth academy as a trainer.
Goalkeeper trio complete – and there is no more room for Mvogo!
With the signing of Blaswich, the way back is blocked for Yvon Mvogo (28). The Swiss came to Leipzig from Young Boys Bern in 2017 should Peter Gulacsi put pressure on him. After only five Bundesliga games in three years, he was loaned to Eindhoven for two years in 2020 – and previously extended his contract in Leipzig until 2023.
But: After only one season in Holland, Mvogo lost his regular place to Joel Drommel and his place in the Swiss national team. This is also why the goalkeeper wants to leave Eindhoven according to BILD information – but the front runner does not want to let him go in the title fight against Ajax (only one point behind) at the moment.
By the summer at the latest, Mvogo will leave two clubs, PSV and RB. And see Leipzig again only a fraction of the once 5 million euros transfer fee …
