Basketball: Solidarity match in Esporles

The basketball showed its most involved and supportive side in a match that had two winners: Pep and Julià. From the hand of Front 1989 and the Esporles Bàsquet Club, the Primera Balearic team from the town of La Serra faced a team of historical figures in the sport of the basket on their track, under the name of Mallorca Classics. The least was the result, because the important thing was to raise funds, through a solidarity raffle, a zero row and the cost of tickets and different contributions, to improve the quality of life of these two children from Esporles, who suffer a severe disability, in addition to the causes in which their families are involved, through the associations ‘Pep, Amy & Friends’ and ‘Arka Tapones Solidarios’.

On the track illustrious such as Guillem Coll, Miki and Alberto Corbacho, Miquel Llompart, Rafa and Adolfo Seguí, Tolo Oliver, Pau Giménez, Isra Pampín, Javi Valdivieso, Sergi Riera or Marcos Polo, along with Berto Alzamora and with Toni Martorell and Gabi Abrines in the technical direction , they gave shape to Mallorca Clàssics, which threw skill and quality to make things difficult for Eloy Doce’s Esporles, which had to be used thoroughly to prevail by a tight 85-82 in a duel that was resolved at the last minute. Boubacar Diop (11 puntos) and the very veteran Pau Gimenez (16) they were the top scorers for the solidarity game, an initiative accompanied by a series of recreational activities outside the IES Josep Font i Trias.
