BARCELONA POZZO DI GOTTO (MESSINA) – The police carried out a precautionary custody order in prison against two twenty-year-olds for violence and threats to public officials and damage followed by fire. On April 17, the two allegedly set fire to the car of a prison police officer.
The investigations made it possible to ascertain that the agent, on guard duty at prison interviews, had reported to the management the violations of a 20-year-old inmate from Messina, resulting in the loss of benefits. The young man, together with an inmate of the same age and also from Messina, would then set fire to the agent’s car, to force him, as well as his colleagues, to relax their vigilance and not report behavior contrary to the rules.
