Claude Puel Saint-tienne is a bitter failure. Laid off last month, the Castres coach left the Stphanois club in last place in the French championship. Romeyer’s charge on Puel

A few weeks after his forced departure, the co-president of ASSE, Roland Romeyer, did not hesitate to smash sugar on the back of his former coach. Indeed, Puel has decided to defend himself without falling into controversy while the club is going through a very difficult period. When a coach leaves a club, it is tempting to put all the responsibility for a situation on them. Out of respect for what ASSE represents and the end-of-season objective, I have no intention of disturbing staff, players in their company , underlined the former technician of Monaco and Lille for L’Equipe.

This is why I will not argue about the inaccuracies and contradictions held in Le Progrs by the management of the club concerning me. I remain attached to ASSE, its future and all the people I appreciate within it, – employees, staff, players – and to whom I wish the best , Puel ended. The current red lantern of Ligue 1 will appreciate, especially as the former general manager has certainly things to say about his passage.
