Arenas hits a goal binge at the expense of Peña Sport

Izeta signs a brace in a match to dream of Iban Fagoaga’s men

There are matches for some to dream of and others to suffer from their worst nightmares. That has happened to Arenas, who have scored a resounding and unappealable 6-0 in Gobela at the expense of Peña Sport sunk in the abyss. Iban Fagoaga’s men have made history by sentencing with such a result a rival who did not deserve to take such a load either, after closing the first period of tuteo with 1-0, in which they defended successfully.

  • Referee
Albert Sanchez. He showed yellow cards to local Celihueta (74′), and to visitors Ocariz (6′), Mikel González (57′) and Sádaba (59′).

But the debacle opened after half an hour. Izeta turned his privileges to open the account and reinforce his image as a scorer. There was little else in the first half in which Cortezón tried without luck on a couple of occasions as soon as the game started. Arenas had come out on top in their attempt to score three points to get closer to the positions with the right to play the play-offs, but the Navarrese defended themselves with order, although their offensive attempts ended in a ride by Albes that Murua aborted, in the 24th minute.

But Unai Jauregi’s team added another couple of setbacks. The first with Ozcariz’s injury, in minute 18, replaced by Uriz, and after Albes -already in minute 45-, who suffered a severe blow to the head. After the resumption, the festival of red and black goals arrived that took the public in flight.

As if that were not enough, the second goal came as soon as the second period started. Lazka received a measured pass to beat Recarte low. And if in minute 47 the scoreboard reflected a 2-0, just four minutes later, Urko Izeta converted a direct free kick to score his tenth goal of the season.

The rest of the goals came in the final stretch of the game, with the Tafalla team psychologically sunk by such harsh punishment and a local team ready to enjoy. Gonzalo Zorrilla dribbled to his marker to score at will and increase the crater of the scoreboard.

In ’85, Gonzalo Zorrilla was once again in charge of converting a killer pass. And already in the discount, Arzalluz served Mikel Escobar, who entered from behind, so that he could place a shot for the top corner at will. A feast of goals that Peña Sport choked on.

In her first individual match, she won a complete victory.

Seyoung Ahn advanced to the round of 16 by defeating Puichiwa (Makawa) with a game score of 2-0 (21-9, 21-5) in the 2022 Hangzhou AG women’s singles round of 32 held at Binjiang Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China on the 3rd.

Ahn Se-young, ranked No. 1 in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) women’s singles world rankings, defeated Puichihua, a rookie ranked 344th, in 23 minutes. She did not allow more than 10 points. Instead of smashes, she used high clears and drop shots to force her opponent into making mistakes.

Ahn Se-young played as a runner in the first match (one singles match) in the women’s team final held on the 1st and led Korea to the gold medal with a 2-0 win over 3rd ranked Chen Yu-fei (match score 3-0). Korea came out on top in this competition 29 years after Hiroshima AG in 1994.

Ahn Se-young won nine gold medals in international competitions this year. She is seeking her 10th individual win on the AG stage.

The matchup is also good. You will not meet a top ranked player until the quarterfinals. If he gets to the semifinals, there is a high possibility that he will face No. 5 ranked He Bingjiao. The match with Chen Yufei could happen in the finals.

Se-young Ahn will play the round of 16 against the winner of Abdul Razak Fatimas Navaha (Maldives) and Yegane Kermani (Iran) on the 4th.
