Apple Talks With MLB To Stream Baseball Games

Apple is at the stage of advanced talks with Major League Baseball (MLB) to broadcast baseball games, according to the New York Post. Meetings may well be available on Apple TV +.

Potentially baseball on Apple TV +

Such an agreement would allow Apple to enter the world of sports by offering certain baseball games. To date, Apple TV + is content with films, series and a few documentaries. The idea is to open up to attract even more people.

Now remains the big question: will we have to pay extra? In France, Amazon Prime Video offers 80% of Ligue 1 matches, but this is in addition to the subscription. This is € 5.99 / month or € 49 / year and allows you to watch films and series. You have to add € 12.99 / month to have access to Ligue 1. The story could be similar at Apple, but it is still too early to tell.

In Apple’s case, the deal (if signed) would normally cover games that take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. The ESPN channel has offered them so far, but the agreement has not been renewed, hence the desire for the MLB to find a new partner. MLB has already spoken with Barstool Sports and Amazon to try to find a deal, but it came to nothing.
