Apple in talks to bring Major League Baseball to Apple TV +?

The Apple TV +, available for over a year now, could soon turn its gaze to the world of sport. MLB baseball could be the first high profile sports content to arrive on Apple’s platform.

Major League Baseball, or America’s highest professional baseball league, may soon be coming to TV +. As revealed by New York Post, the Cupertino company seems more than willing to recover the broadcasting rights for some MLB matches. The company could include matches in the Apple TV + subscription, most likely in the form of an additional paid plan.

At the moment, there are still few details on this subject. However, the match pack currently being negotiated is believed to be the one relating to weekday matches, until recently held by ESPN. An important first step in the world of sport which could in all probability not concern our country given the low popularity of the sport in Italy and the regional limitations of the rights themselves.

For now, given the almost total absence of details, we just have to wait for the situation to evolve. Apple could start broadcasting the events as early as next season.
