Amateur football: what if it stopped? – All football

The Covid-19 epidemic is on the rise, and the competitions are for the moment at a standstill. But what would happen if the shutdown was final?

That was one of the big problems during the last season: when the amateur level competitions were stopped, everything was frozen: the climbs, the descents. But this season, everything has been planned, and in the current state of affairs, both the ACFF and its Dutch-speaking counterpart can have peace of mind.

Indeed, according to the regulations which were adopted at the beginning of the season, if half of the matches of the season have been played, the classifications are validated, and therefore the amounts and the descendants too. Be careful, this applies to the first teams, not to the youth teams. And as of today, this meeting half has been played.

Basically, if we take the classification of the Nationale 1, Dessel would rise to the upper echelon (D1B) and in the event of a passage from a D1B to 16 (with 4 U21 teams) and the descent of the last of D1B, 4 other National 1 teams should accompany Dessel: Le Patro Maasmechelen, RFC Liège, Olympic de Charleroi and Thes Sport …. subject to acceptance of the license of course.
