Aliağa Petkimspor, in the last place in the ING Basketball Super League’s relegation line, defeated Fenerbahçe Beko in the leadership race at home in overtime, with the regular time ending 82-82: 95-90. Aliağa representative, who won the first home match under the management of Coach Burak Gören, won his 3rd victory in 16 matches with this score, while Fenerbahçe left the gym for the second consecutive time in the league with 13 wins. Fenerbahçe’s Coach Aleksandar Djordjevic could not play because he showed symptoms although the coronavirus test was negative. The Serbian coach left the camp in the morning before the match and returned to Istanbul.
Fenerbahce responded to the 5-0 series that the host caught with Browne and Thomas at the beginning of the match, with Polonara and Şehmus, and then took the lead. Browne scored 27 points, Armand 23 points and Thomas 21 points for Petkimspor.
