Albert sees future in new Red Devils: “Be less pessimistic”

From Red Devils will be at the World Cup in Qatar at the end of 2022 and may be looking for a world title there for the very last time as the ‘Golden Generation’. We are already looking for a successor and according to Philippe Albert the future looks good.

In recent years there have been fears for the future of our Red Devils, but Albert believes that there is still a lot of talent on the way to the national team. “Of course you don’t get world-class players like Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois or Kevin De Bruyne in every generation. It will be difficult to do as well. But I am less pessimistic than before,” he said. RTBF.

Albert has seen a lot of talent emerge in recent years. He mentions Charles De Ketelaere, but also Yari Verschaeren and Jérémy Doku. Furthermore, it remains to be seen how players such as Loïs Openda, Amadou Onana and Arthur Theate continue to grow.
