Aaron Rodgers, 0-3 against the 49ers in the playoffs

In 17 years as a professional, Aaron Rodgers he has 20 playoff appearances and is 11-9 in knockout games. What should concern the quarterback and the Packers is that three of those nine setbacks have been caused by the same rival.

Since taking over as the Packers’ starter in 2008, Rodgers has faced San Francisco three times. and he still doesn’t know what it’s like to beat the “Niners” in the postseason.

The first time the 49ers beat Rodgers was in the 2012 playoffs. when Colin Kaepernick had 263 yards through the air and 181 on the ground. for the victory by a score of 45-31.

A season later, Green Bay sought revenge, on that occasion in a duel corresponding to the wild card. However, San Francisco came out with the win again (23-20) and the hero of the match was Phil Dawson (three field goals).

The most recent precedent was in the 2019 NFC Championship Game. This game represents the largest victory of the 49ers over Rodgers (37-20) and it was all the result of the impressive performance of Raheem Mostert (220 yards per carry, four touchdowns).

In those three playoff games, the 38-year-old quarterback has 760 yards, five touchdowns, three interceptions and a 95.8 rating.

That dominance that the “Niners” have over the California graduate is shocking considering that Rodgers has nine regular-season games against San Francisco and his record is 6-3. with 2,597 yards, 20 touchdowns, two interceptions and a rating of 107.5.

to break the even

An element that makes the divisional round matchup between Packers y 49ers is that they have met eight times during the playoffs and the historical record is four wins per side.

The first three wins went to Green Bay and in 1998 San Francisco added its first win of the series. Three years later, Brett Favre recorded his fourth victory over the “Niners” and Since 2001, the Packers have not been able to beat the 49ers in the playoffs.
