Presented in Coverciano, during the Panathlon Florence festival, the latest publication by Luca Giannelli which is dedicated to the most significant places that have made the history of sport in Florence, from the pioneers to the present day. In the volume “The enchantment of 25 Florentine places” published by Scramasax ideazioni the historical systems of the city are told starting from the Cascine: the building of the shooting; the two racecourses Visarno and Le Mulina; the Sferisterio; the Velodrome of the Sports Club; the noble Tennis Club and the Prato del Quercione, formerly a sports theater. The journey continues along the Arno where the protagonists are the Canottieri Firenze, the Canottieri Comunali and the Rari Nantes which are the three real giants of the Arno. A beautiful story is that of the Assi Giglio Rosso in Viale dei Colli, together with the historic sports area of Campo di Marte with the Franchi and Ridolfi, Padovani, Mandela Forum, Costoli swimming pool and baseball field. Finally, the popular ITI building and many other valuable facilities, with many beautiful stories and unpublished photos.
