The youth teams of the BG Göttingen finished the previous matchday with one victory and one defeat. In the youth basketball league (NBBL / U19), the Sartorius Juniors had to admit defeat to the Baskets Juniors Oldenburg 51:61 (34:29) at home. Things went much better for the Sartorius Youngsters in the youth basketball league (JBBL / U16). The team of Youngsters head coach Marjo Heinemann won against SC Rist Wedel 84:77 (37:35) in the home basketball center and took over the championship lead in relegation group 1.
The Juniors played at eye level with the Oldenburgers in the first section and improved in the second quarter, so that they went into the half-time break with a 34:29 lead. In the second half the Göttingen got more and more problems on the offensive. Well-played throws did not fall, a few light lay-ups went wrong.
