Underestimating the Indonesian National Team, Thailand’s Ex-Coach believes the War Elephant Squad will win thinly in the second meeting: Okezone Bola

BANGKOK – The former coach of the Thailand National Team (Timnas), Sirisak Yodyatthai, believes that the War Elephant squad will hit the Indonesian national team again in the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final. According to him, Alexandre Polking’s troops will win with a narrow score.

In the first meeting, the Indonesian national team was beaten by Thailand 4-0 at the National Stadium, Singapore, on (29/12/2021). Chanathip Songkrasin (2′ and 52′) scored, Supachok Sarachat’s strike (67′) and Bodin Phala’s (83′) contribution.

While in the second leg later, Yodyatthai said Thailand must be able to maintain their chances of becoming champions. He even explained that Indonesia would try to score five goals, but Thailand would win by a narrow score.

“For the second game, how should we play? I think the result of the competition should come out on our side as usual. But we also have to read Indonesia’s game, maybe they will try to score five goals. But Thailand will win in the second leg 1-0.”
