The winter season in the urban environment has begun!

With the onset of winter-like weather in Riga, several cross-country ski runs and equipment rental points have started operating, managed by both the municipality and other institutions. It is planned that artificial ice rinks will also be available.

As every year, Riga Municipality provides residents with cross-country skiing opportunities in Uzvaras Park (15 Uzvaras Boulevard), Lucavsala, Purvciems near Riga Secondary School No. 84 (Lielvārdes Street 141), as well as Mežaparks (Kokneses Avenue 39). There are also traditional skiing opportunities in Biķernieki forest (S. Eizenšteina street 16), where the track is installed by SJSC “CSSD”.

If the appropriate weather conditions persist, it is planned that Rigans will also have the opportunity to skate in an artificial ice rink, which is planned to be installed at Riga Secondary School No. 84, as well as enjoy winter fun in the Mežaparks Grand Stage spectator area. regional sports center “Laimīte” and “Ķengarags”.
