The image of John “Pugwash” Weathers brilliantly wearing his beloved Oakland A jersey on stage is what comes to mind. immediately to fans when they remember Gentle Giant and, in particular, their drummer. In addition to clear affection to the object, however, there was a very specific reason why Pugwash always wore that garment and it can be traced back to a particularly symbolic episode.
There is a new series of videos, coming straight from the band’s archives and remained unedited so far in which the members of Gentle Giant make clarity on many curiosities and background that involved them. Among them, the one in which Pugwash revealed why he was so tied to that shirt stands out.
