the project brought to Contigliano by Aics ends

The final day of “Sport Siamo Noi” took place on Monday 19 December at the gymnasium of IC Malfatti in Contigliano, the project promoted by the Provincial Committee of Rieti of the Italian Culture Sport Association and by the Municipality of Contigliano which from June and for six months allowed over 60 children of the Rieti municipality to play tennis, skating and athletics completely free of charge.

On the last day, space for end-of-course performances and awards for small sportsmen. To reward the boys and girls who have joined the project funded by Sport and Health Alessia Iachetti, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Contigliano, and Stefano Pecci, President of AICS Rieti.

Each of the participants received a certificate and a special notebook full of contents, games, nursery rhymes and curiosities to understand how the values ​​of sport can be applied to daily life.

The notebooks represent the legacy that AICS wanted to leave to little sportsmen and are part of “FairPlay4U”, a project that invites young readers to reflect on how important it is to have respectful behavior towards people, things, the environment and animals, analyzing with simplicity the articles of the Italian Constitution, the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and the concept of Fair Play in sport as in life.

On the final day, therefore, space for all three disciplines in the presence of the sports technicians who deserve the great merit of having followed the boys with diligence and professionalism, accompanying them in the path of rapprochement to sports and socialization following the heavy restrictions to which they are were also subjected during the first months of 2021.

Among these Sebastien, Matteo and Desj Benvenuti and Caterina D’Ippoliti for the ASD Pattinaggio Rieti (speed skating), Joe and Lucy for the Kyalami Ranch (tennis), Aleandra Culcasi for the More Sport ASD and Ruben Falsini for the Rieti Student Athletics (Athletics).

In January then again an appointment for families with the integrated activities foreseen by the project.
