It is now possible to reserve the sports courts of the municipal facilities through the website of the Municipal Sports Institute (imd.cuenca.es). The Councilor for Sports, Charo Rodríguez Patiño, has indicated that “we thus began the process of digitizing the IMD with the aim of making the services offered more agile and simple.”
It should be noted that in order to make these reservations online, subscribers must first go to the IMD offices (Plaza del Mercado, 2nd floor) to obtain their username and password, while the rest of the users can register directly through the web.
At the moment it is possible to reserve, in the case of the San Fernando sports center, a classroom and squash, fronton, paddle tennis and badminton courts; at the El Sargal sports center, a classroom and squash, fronton and badminton courts; and the classroom in the Luis Ocaña complex. The mayor of the branch indicates that “for the moment we are starting with some tracks in certain facilities, but the idea is to expand the services”.
Finally, indicate that advance reservations can be made for a maximum of up to one week per person.
