Logroño Sport has inaugurated this week the Campus “Mini heroes” which will be enjoyed throughout these holidays by about 40 boys and girls. At the moment there are 24 signed up for this week and 11 for the next. The Councilor for Sports, Rubén Antoñanzas, has come to the Las Gaunas Municipal Sports Center, headquarters of this Christmas edition, to meet the participants of this first shift.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., these “mini heroes” who are between 6 and 12 years old enjoy all the possibilities that this sports center can offer them. As Antoñanzas has pointed out, “large spaces, with very high ceilings, with ventilation… to be able to safely enjoy sports and games with friends”.
This center is especially suitable for a program of these characteristics and in times of restrictions. “We have large halls but also a fronton with a climbing wall and the new skateboard circuit. Many places to develop interesting proposals for them for sure. A security that is also ensured by our monitors, committed professionals with an enthusiastic character, as we see in each edition ”.
The physical activities programmed are: climbing, skateboarding, fencing, athletics, volleyball, racquetball, badminton, dances, crafts, traditional games, etc.
For next week (3, 4 and 5 January) there are still free places. It has a price of 35 euros for subscribers and 70 for users. There is also the possibility of hiring a single day, for 18 euros a day, as long as there are places available. Registrations can be formalized through the Logroño Sport website (www.logronodeporte.es)
This initiative arises from the success of the ‘Mini Héroes’ held in Las Norias during the summers and which this year could be enjoyed by 310 boys and girls, after expanding the number of places.
As Antoñanzas recalled, “we are very proud of this campus because the little ones have a great time, they have fun and they also learn, but we are also helping to facilitate family reconciliation. Working fathers and mothers find here a good alternative for their children’s vacations.
