The Ministry of Education and Sports subsidizes with 124,581 euros to eleven Almeria clubs

The territorial delegate for Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Jimenez, wants to show its satisfaction with the latest subsidies approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports headed by Javier Imbroda for clubs that participate in the maximum and sub-maximum category of non-professional sports.

These grants are aimed at Andalusian clubs at in order to promote sports practice and collaborate to defray the expenses derived from the participation of their teams in official competitions of national non-professional scope and absolute age category with league format at the maximum and sub-maximum competition levels.



87 Andalusian clubs have been subsidized with this help line, the total amount granted being 1,095,703 euros. In the province of Almería, 11 clubs have obtained these subsidies sports in the modalities of futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball, fronton, baseball and judo, with an amount of 124,581 euros.

The benefited clubs of the grants to the National League Plan (PLN) have been: CD El Ejido Futsal, Club Volleyball Almería, Club Deportivo Urci Almería, Club Handball Roquetas, Club Basketball Almería, CD Unión Rugby Almería, CD Almería Volley Group 2008, Club Deportivo de Baseball and Softball Almería, Club Pelota Benahadux, Club Pelota Almería and Club Deportivo Alianza KSV.

Antonio Jiménez has stated that “there are several initiatives of the Ministry of Education and Sports to promote sports practice, such as the creation of the Mentor 10 Program, a strategic project that progressively and at different levels provides training in values ​​and the promotion of healthy habits to the school-age population and, at the same time, constitutes a notable boost for the training of Andalusian sports talents, thanks to 21 mentors who will guide them in the initial phase of their sporting careers ”.

He also recalled the subsidies recently awarded to local entities for the promotion of sports infrastructures. The actions add up to a total amount of more than 746,000 euros, of which slightly more than 474,000 will be borne by the Junta de Andalucía. “Ultimately, it is about continuing to work and betting on our young people so that they continue to have the necessary means that will lead them to achieve their academic and sporting goals,” Antonio Jiménez pointed out.
