The Longbow Cactus Cup Championship is a one-round event where the winner takes all of $ 10,000

It will be a nice late Christmas present for someone, but it will not be a present. This $ 10,000 first-place prize will have to be won during a winner-take-all 18-hole stroke play contest in Arizona on Monday.

The Longbow Cactus Cup Championship returns to the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona for a second year. This event offers a great reward for emerging golfers on the women’s mini-tour circuit.

The December 27 battlefield features four of the top five cash winners from the 2021 season of the Cactus Tour, including overall top prize winner Kendra Dalton, as well as Nishtha Madan, Gabriella Then and Elizabeth Wang.

As the biggest money winner on the circuit in 2021, Dalton pocketed $ 13,575 after winning three times in eight starts. So the chance to win $ 10,000 after 18 holes is a big deal. Dalton, a BYU graduate from North Carolina, also made 20 starts on the Symetra Tour, where she finished 45th in the money, earning $ 28,980.

“We are excited to team up with The Cactus Tour for the second time and welcome four of the best professional golfers in the region for a season-ending exhibition,” said Bob McNichols, General Manager of Longbow Golf Club.

“Exhibition golf games have proven to be a huge draw for other professional tours, and the Cactus Tour really looks forward to our own fun-filled day of championship golf at one of the best competitive golf courses in Arizona,” he said. Mike Brown, Tour Director. “The Cactus Tour has awarded more than $ 2.75 million to professional women playing in regional competitions in the last ten years alone.”

The action begins at noon on Monday and the presentation of the winner’s check follows immediately. Ancient Arizona Wildcat Haley Moore took first prize a year ago after winning the first playoff hole.

“Each of the competitors possesses their impressive golf resume with notable victories from junior levels through college and eventually the pro stage,” said McNichols. “Longbow Golf Club has become synonymous with championship golf, and I can’t wait to see these champions in action in late 2021. We are proud to continue this round of women’s professional golf, the Longbow Cactus Cup Championship, in association with the Cactus Tour «.

Entrance is free for everyone.
