Angry Legion fans attacked three Warsaw players at the team bus. An ugly incident occurred at the end of the weekend after a close defeat with Wisla Plock, after which the supporters blocked the entrance to the training center.
Among the attacked players were 24-year-old Mahir Emreli, 25-year-old Luquinhas and 30-year-old Rafael Lopes. So it was exclusively a foreigner.
The perpetrators and the Legion’s sympathizers (who are still waiting for duels with Zaglebie Lubin and Radomiak Radom in 2021) fled after the police arrived.
The Legion, whose staff includes the best scorer of last year’s Polish league, Tomáš Pekhart, is the reigning champion of Ekstraklasa, but this season she suffers abnormally and in the current table she has the last place.
The fall of the fifteen-time champion of the country, whose jersey was also passed by Tomáš Necid or Adam Hloušek, would be one of the biggest surprises in the Old Continent.
