The judo medals are already at home ›Granma

The Cuban judokas who represented us at the I Pan American Youth Games in Cali-Valle 2021 arrived at the José Martí International Airport with faces full of satisfaction for their excellent performance.

The athletes were received by Raúl Fornés, first vice president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder).

The medals obtained in the Cali event, in which judo had an impressive performance, with two titles, a couple of second places and an equal number of bronze medals, in addition to the third seat in the contest for equipment.

Gold went to supercompletes Thalía Nariño (+78 kg) and Omar Cruz (+100 kg), silver went to Sergueis Rodríguez (90 kg) and Idelannis Gómez (70 kg), while they obtained the bronze Kimy Bravo (66 kg ) and Thailién Castillo (57 kg).

“My next goal will be to triumph at the senior level in the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile-2023 and continue to develop myself to establish myself among the best judocas of my category in the world,” said Cruz, who was dominant in Colombian lands and outnumbered your rivals in every match.
