They only took five athletes and returned to their country with three medals of the Olympic Games. This is a case to be admired, since that country, in sports matters, is recognized but for its soccer team, which did not give very good results; but in other sports they seem to perform, and in what way.

The delegation in question is that of San Marino, a country anchored within Italy, which attended the 2020 Olympics with just five athletes; Which, apparently, shone with their own light and three medals were hung, a considerable figure if we analyze it due to the small number of athletes.

The percentage contrast

And it is that this is contrasted with large delegations that at least brought more than 50 athletes to Tokyo and, who have not added or who carry less or the same medals obtained by the representatives of San Marino. Archery and fighting were the disciplines in which the silver and bronze medals were hung.

On July 29, the first joy for the people of the white and blue country was given. Alessandra Perilli, was in charge of hang the bronze, in the female trap of the Olympic archery. As a particular data, Perilli, was the first athlete to win an Olympic medal for her people.

Then, on July 31, the harvest of medals for the natives of San Marino followed, again the archery was profitable for them. Gian Marco Berti and Perilli herself, they were in charge of delivering the glory to their nation in discipline, but in mixed. Together they won the silver medal.

Undoubtedly Tokyo 2020 will be an Olympic Games that will remain in the great history of that country, since the third medal, bronze, was obtained by Myles Amine; who in the 86 kg fight beat Depak Punia, and was placed in third place in that modality.
