The club won 45 medals in one weekend

The two previous weekends were rich in competition for the Ruthenian judokas. And all categories fought, including some who found the competition for the first time since the appearance of Covid-19.

On November 27 and 28, Judo Rodez Aveyron (JRA) won no less than 45 medals. Twelve club licensees, seniors and cadets, were in Toulouse to fight. Camille Chambellard (-52 kg) won the gold medal in senior women. And Victor Ruiz (+ 100 kg) finished on the third step of the podium. Those same days, 35 chicks and youngest children hung a medal around their neck at the end of the first departmental round, in Decazeville. And at the same time, the Ruthenian juniors and cadets were in Limoges for the national excellence tournament. In the category of – 55 kg cadets, two JRA licensees faced each other in the final: Rémi Artis and Arthur Bourdoncle, who dominated the category. It was Arthur Bourdoncle who finally won.

On December 4, the juniors fought in Moissac. The boys, Ahmed, Magamed and Maxime lost in the round of 16 and were not drafted. Camille, on the other hand, finished racking up the points for her black belt and won the bronze medal. The next day, on the side of the minims, the resumption of competition was difficult: one medal for seven participants. “But we do not let go”, assures the Ruthenian club.
