Team Bora-Hangrohe outfit (by LeCol) for the 2022 season

The Bora-Hansgrohe team unveiled their new outfit for the 2022 season. Designed by the British company LeCol (which replaced Sportful as a textile supplier), it also called on the design department of the Specialized brand for the help in creating this new look outfit.

The new design is based on the green colourway that has graced the team’s outfits since their ascension to the WorldTour in 2017. The outfit is a nod to American college sport, especially baseball, according to manager Ralph Denk.

“The design that Specialized and Le Col have developed with us is a winner. We will definitely be making a name for ourselves on the pitch in 2022. The starting point was American college sport, especially baseball.

I have to admit that at first I might have been a bit skeptical, but the results ended up being very convincing. For us, however, the emphasis isn’t just on looking smart, we also want to be quick. During our winter wind tunnel tests, we compared our new kit with the competing products, and I can say that we will be fast, very fast.

The name of the collection is “No Off Season” and relates to the camaraderie within the team. Because real fellowship doesn’t take a break. ”

Kayla Clarot (designer at Specialized): “We examine historical moments in professional sport to shape our aesthetic (…) The color contrasts are daring and the typography has stood the test of time for teams that will always be known as the greatest.”

The team also unveiled its new Specialized bikes on Wednesday. The S-Works Tarmac SL7 models are painted in a color scheme similar to the outfit, with a base in black color and flashes of green and red.
