Taxi driver and professional basketball player disappear in Michoacán

A professional gamer of basketball and a cabbie, who was transporting the man were reported as missing in the state of Michoacan.

The relatives of Alexis Francisco Cervantes, player of the Libertadores de Querétaro, report that for weeks the player was in the entity for a basketball tournament that would take place and that the 32-year-old man would participate.

His brother said that he should have returned home to the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa, but did not return for the festivities of the Dec. 24 and not having communication with him, they decided to file a disappearance.

It indicated that the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Michoacán reported that it had already initiated an investigation folder, so it was not necessary to file a complaint about the disappearance.

Last Friday, December 24, the Pacific Basketball Circuit (Cibapac) and the Mexican Basketball community denounced the disappearance of man.

The family’s testimonies mentioned that Alexis boarded a bus, but it was delayed, due to roadblocks, so he decided to board a taxi to go to the Guadalajara, Jalisco airport.

They added that the last communication that was had with him was at the time when they were in the state limits of Michoacán and Jalisco, once he met the taxi driver.
