The sporting successes for the city of Trapani continue. After athletics, archery and padel, arm wrestling gives satisfaction.
Giovanni Accardo, 55, was in fact ranked first at World Armwrestiling & Para-Armwrestiling Championship 2021, the world championship which, in these days, is taking place in the capital of Romania.
Accardo, entered in the “Grand Master 70 kg right” category, defeated the Ukrainian Oleksandr Medvedvev, winning fifth place in the medal table – after Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Kazakhstan -.
Giovanni Accardo’s triumph is a real dream come true, which came after many years of training and difficult challenges. And now, together with Accardo, Trapani too can be proud to have, among its citizens, the world champion in arm wrestling.
