Two sports, two teams, the same destiny. The matches of the two major grenade teams have been postponed. With regard to basketball, the Italian Basketball Federation has informed that given the current health situation in the country due to the surge in infections from COVID-19, on the proposal of the National Basketball League, the FIP has ordered the transfer of the last day of the round of first leg of both rounds of the A2 Championship, initially scheduled for January 2, 2022, to January 16, 2022.
This provision was necessary in order to allow the recovery of the matches not played in the first round and define the grid for participation in the next LNP Italian Cup scheduled for March. The first two return rounds of both rounds of the A2 Championship, initially scheduled for 9 and 16 January 2022, have been postponed to a date to be defined. A breath of fresh air for Trapani Basketball which has 4 Covid positives in the team group (and adding the two injured, practically half a team out).
With regard to football, however, the grenade formation of mister Morgia will not take the field on January 5th for the Italian Cup. The race was postponed at the request of Novigrad which has cases of positivity to Covid-19 in the team group. Fortunately, no grenade footballer is among the positives: training will resume on January 2. At the moment, the internal match with the Aversa on 9 January remains confirmed.
