Seville’s Jules Koundé (23) threw a ball in the face with full force in the game in the Spanish La Liga against Barcelona (1: 1) opponent Jordi Alba (32). But he flew off the field with red.

After a duel on the sideline and a rather harmless bump from Alba, the French defender freaked out and lost his nerve.
Koundé grabbed the ball and thundered it from close range against Alba in the shoulder, from where the ball hit the side of the Spaniard’s face. The Barça defender then theatrically fell to the ground and held his face.
Referee Carlos del Cerro Grande (45), who, among other things, whistled BVB’s Champions League game at Sporting (1: 3) at the end of November, immediately showed the red card and even waved the doctors onto the field for Alba. But he was able to continue playing the Barca star. For Koundé it was only the second red card of his career.
