The Skyliners Frankfurt have left the relegation ranks of the basketball Bundesliga. The Hessians won their home game on Sunday against the Crailsheim Merlins, trained by ex-coach Sebastian Gleim, with 80:73 (35:35) and jumped from 17th to 13th in the table. It was the second victory in a row for the Skyliners.
Again, the Hessians started slowly into the game, but then the home side seemed more concentrated than Crailsheim. Frankfurt won the game under the basket. The hosts clearly won the rebound duel with 50:27. The Hessen’s best thrower was Len Schoormann with 17 points. Lorenz Brenneke managed a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
