SINGAPORE – Shin Tae-yong assessed that the quality of the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) was still below Thailand and Vietnam. His statement came after the Garuda squad lost to the War Elephant team in the first leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final, Wednesday (12/29/2021).
The match between the Indonesian national team versus Thailand took place at the National Stadium, Singapore, Wednesday (29/12/2021). The Red and White Team under Shin Tae-yong’s care was crushed by Thailand led by Alexandre Polking with a score of 4-0.
Thailand’s goals were contributed by Chanathip Songkrasin (2′ and 52). Two goals to complete Thailand’s victory were also scored by Supachok Sarachat (67′) and Bordin Phala (83′).

Shin Tae-yong admits that the quality of Thailand and Vietnam is very good. He even said that the two countries had the best quality in Southeast Asia.
