Rota hosts this weekend the 11th Pickleball Christmas Open

The practice of pickleball continues to gain strength in Rota thanks to the Pickleball Rota Club that continues to work so that this sports modality, which is a mixture of tennis, badminton and paddle tennis, continues not only adding athletes but also making the town a place of reference.

This weekend specifically, the II Christmas Open will be held, which in this edition will feature the participation of players from different towns in Cádiz, Seville, Malaga, Madrid, thus gaining strength and crossing local borders.

The tournament will begin on Saturday, December 11, during 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. hours, starting the day with individual matches to be followed by the women’s doubles and the men’s group stage. This last category will end in the afternoon with their respective qualifying rounds and the grand final.

For Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the day of this II Pickleball Christmas Open will offer mixed doubles matches.

As for the prizes, there will be trophies, sweatshirts and t-shirts for the 1st and 2nd classified in each category.

This test is scoring for the RAAP (Ranking of the Andalusian Association of Pickleball).

From the Pickleball Rota Club they have made a call for all those who want to see a good level of play to stop by the facilities of the “Antonio Barrientos Chispa” sports center, where in addition, tracks will be enabled for those who want to try this sport.
