Rignac. Basketball present on all fronts

There are weekends that the associations mark in red on their calendar: this was the case for the Rignac basketball club which was on the bridge both in the extra-sporting and sporting fields. As of Friday evening, the senior boys had set the tone by going to win at Villefranche 71 to 69: four games, four wins, enough to wait for tomorrow Friday at 9 p.m. Luc-Primaube leader with five wins for five games.

The enthusiasm fell a little in the afternoon of Saturday with the results of the young people: only one victory of the U15M who went to win at Druelle 71 to 29 for three defeats conceded by the U15F1 against CTC BAB’SS 61 at 44, the U15F2 in Montauban 44 to 27, the U13F1 in Naucelle 40 to 37.

The annual Saturday evening quine attracted a lot of players who came to try their luck in order to take the meal for two people at the Vieux-Pont in Belcastel or the steam plant which constituted the two main prizes. All day Sunday, those in charge had continued the tradition by organizing a new edition of the Christmas Market with two surprise guests: the snow that we had not seen for a long time in this period and the music school that gave a catchy note.

The 47 exhibitors attracted a large number of bargain hunters by displaying top-of-the-range products: local products, paintings, pottery, wooden games, leather bags, clothing, jewelry, miniature collector cars …

And to close this weekend, a pleasant surprise with the senior girls who had shown progress and who won at Olemps with a score of 60 to 56.
