Ricky Rubio’s Cavaliers succumb to the Bucks with Antetokounmpo’s ‘double-double’

MADRID, 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio continues to be key for Cleveland, but this time his 7 points and 9 assists in 27 minutes could not stop the good rhythm of the Milwaukee Bucks, who defeated the Cavaliers 112-104 this Monday, with a ‘double -doble ‘by Giannis Antetokounmpo on his return.

The Fiserv Forum witnessed a great defensive performance by the locals, who slowed down the attacking spirit of Cleveland, one of the revelation teams of the season. In more than 27 minutes on the court, the Spaniard scored 7 points, captured 4 rebounds and distributed 9 assists, on a night in which, without shining as on other occasions, his team was better with him on the court.

Throughout the game, the Bucks were ahead on the scoreboard, with a great last quarter in which they neutralized Rubio’s only chance to go for victory, when with nine minutes to go they were only 1 point of the Greek pivot. Antetokounmpo got a ‘double-double’ and was the top scorer of the game with 27 points, in addition to adding 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.

On the other hand, Santi Aldama, who had just finished his best performance with the Grizzlies against the Thunder with a ‘double-double’ (18 + 10), only added one point and two rebounds in the 10 minutes he was on the court. Still, Memphis beat Miami 90-105, with Herro as the night’s top scorer with 24 points.

Finally, Serge Ibaka played 7 minutes in the Los Angeles Clippers victory over Portland Trail Blazers (90-102), without scoring any points, although he did collect 1 rebound and distributed 1 assist.
