RB-Leipzig: Star crashes shortly before the private jet, fire brigade and ambulance arrived – Bundesliga

It happened on the last few meters before the Christmas vacation!

Shock for Josep Martinez (21)! The goalkeeper of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig was involved in a traffic accident at Leipzig Airport on Saturday evening.

According to BILD information, the Spaniard is said to have been on the way to the private jet that was supposed to take him to his home country. When turning just before the gate for charter planes (GAT), he overlooked a mini bus and collided with the vehicle.

Ambulances and the fire brigade were on duty, Martinez needed brief treatment. But apart from a shock, he shouldn’t be injured any further.

In the afternoon Martinez had followed the 2-0 defeat against Bielefeld on the bench. Then coach Domenico Tedesco (36) said goodbye to the players on vacation. Tedesco: “It was a long and exhausting season.” Training starts in Leipzig on January 2nd.

Martinez had played one game in the Champions League, Bundesliga and Cup in the first half of the season as a replacement for regular goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi (31).
