PSG-Nice (0-0): “We were better,” said Pochettino after the sad draw of the Parisians

Mauricio Pochettino remains a satisfied coach. Despite his team’s scoreless draw this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes against Nice, the PSG coach expressed little regret at a press conference after the game. A press point where he did not last forever.

How do you analyze this sad meeting, with two different faces before and after the break?

MAURICIO POCHETTINO. We were better today but we didn’t score despite our chances. I think we should have won. It happens in a season, games like that. We play as we should and according to the difficulties of the moment. We are improving little by little. We qualified in the round of 16 of the Champions League and first in the league. We still have to improve when the decisive moments arrive.

What was missing to score?

We lacked precision to finish. Sometimes it’s like that, things don’t go right, there is the goalkeeper who intervenes, you have to accept it in a season.

How do you judge Leo Messi’s game?

From a football point of view, I see a player who has won seven Ballons d’Or. It’s always a pleasure to see him play, to see what he does.

Why did you release Presnel Kimpembe and more generally how do you judge your defense?

We were going to make changes and, at that point, Presnel told us he was embarrassed. For the rest, I am satisfied with the defensive part of the team.
