Pep Guardiola once again praises Kevin De Bruyne: “A unique player” | Premier League

Things haven’t gone smoothly for Kevin De Bruyne this season. He had long suffered from the injury he sustained at Euro 2020 and just as he was getting back into shape, he became infected with the coronavirus.

But in recent weeks he has been getting back on track and his coach, Pep Guardiola, sees that too. Manchester City’s T1 saw De Bruyne score three times in his last three games. According to the Catalan, he is gradually growing to his very best level.

“He gets better and better. He played in an extraordinary way against Leicester on Sunday (6-3 win, ed.). Kevin has been with me for six years and everything we do together when he is in shape is incredible.”

“When he’s in form, he’s a unique player on this planet. But he’s also a fighter. He fights, scores goals and assists. We all know that.”

“Last season he lost it at the end of the season, but now it’s great again. He’s played really well in Leeds and against Leicester it was very, very good all match long.” Curious how De Bruyne does tonight against Brentford.
