Obituary: Mauritian judo mourns Prem Dookee

Sad news for Mauritian judo. The vice-president of the Mauritius Judo Federation (FMJ) Prem Dookee died on Tuesday November 30 following an illness. Aged 70, he has held several positions within the FMJ, including as secretary and treasurer in the past. Real passionate, this inhabitant of Plaine-Verte was also a former judoka who won the 4th dan black belt in 1995. In addition to judo, he also loved football and was a member of the ASPL 2000.

Josian Valère, president of the FMJ, underlines that judo loses a real fighter. “Prem has done a lot for Mauritian judo. I extend my sympathies to all these relatives, ”he confides. The funeral took place on Wednesday. The editorial staff of the Défi Media Group extend their condolences to the bereaved family.
