Nogent-le-Rotrou. They are recruiting during a badminton tournament

The process has existed for five years and is orchestrated by the Mission locale. “We want to break down, across the playing field, the barriers between the recruiter and the applicant. We put them at the same level, ”explains Ludovic Sarrazin, the director.

There was bowling, pétanque, futsal, Wednesday November 24, 2021, it was badminton’s turn in the Léo-Lagrange room. “We want to change every year, because in the process it allows you to discover different activities,” he says.

The Milos also takes advantage of some subsidies, received for this event, to buy a little bit of equipment to the club concerned.

Mixed teams

Five volunteers, including Renaud leroy, the tireless coach of the Nogentais Badminton club, are present to supervise this tournament.

Small label with their first name, plastered on their chest, applicants and recruiters, get to know each other very quickly. Even if at the start of the session, “everyone stays a little on their side”.

It didn’t last very long, when from the warm-up to hit the first shuttlecocks, Renaud was already mixing everyone. The exchanges, racket in hand, begin, but the verbal exchanges also, “you are at the Mission Locale for how long, ”we hear from this man, trying to put his partner at ease.

Ludovic Sarrazin, more used to the shirt and dress shoes, put on the shorts, and the sports t-shirt for him also to lend himself to the game. “In addition, I just took a badminton license this year”, he smiles. by joining the pitches to warm up.

For this event, entitled “smash your job”, 16 employers were present, for ” 16-20 young people », Which allowed for mixed teams. With a malicious eye, he admits “some teams are made according to the projects of young people and the needs of entrepreneurs”.

Jobs at stake

Thanks to this kind of evening, in the past, young people from Milos 28 have found work. “There have been permanent contracts, future jobs, interim assignments…”; welcomes Ludovic.

This time, only a few days later, some touches are promising. “We take stock three months later,” slips the president.

In order to better prepare for this meeting, the young people of Milos had workshops “in particular to make their CV, but also a atelier nutrition “. At the end of the tournament, each recruiter leaves with a bag and all the young people’s CVs.

The shuttlecocks continue to snap in the rackets, some are more resourceful than others, “among the entrepreneurs, there are former badists”, recognizes Renaud, who could perhaps attract them again in his nets.

At the end of this tournament – friendly – the winners get Intersport gift vouchers. “For the others, they still leave with something,” said Ludovic, pointing to the awards table. There are badminton rackets, t-shirts and other trinkets… No more discussions, we let them play, laugh, recruit.
