NFL | Seventh consecutive victory for the Dolphins

(New Orleans) The Miami Dolphins became the first NFL team to win seven straight games after losing seven in a row to a 20-3 win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

One of the most visible rookies, Jaylen Waddle shone on his return to the roster, catching 10 passes, including one from touchdown, totaling 92 yards.

Nik Needham intercepted Saints rookie quarterback Ian Book’s pass and ran the ball 28 yards to get the middle finger. The Dolphins are 8-7 and tied with the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders. All its teams are trying to hang on to one of the last places giving access to the playoffs in the American Association.

Book has stepped on the field for the first time in the NFL. He started the game for the Saints (7-8) due to the outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the team, which is sidelining 16 players. It includes starting quarterback Taysom Hill and experienced replacement quarterback Trevor Siemian.

The Saints offensive line had to do without three starting players, including its two blockers. Book completed 12 of his 20 passes to register 135 yards. He suffered eight sacks and saw two of his passes intercepted.

The Saints defense went out of their way to keep the New Orleans team in the game. She was tight until 5:10 to play in the third quarter when a Waddle-yard touchdown on a Tua Tagovailoa pass made it 17-3.

Tagovailoa started the game with the best passing success rate in the NFL with 69.9% success. 19 of his 26 passes were taken (73.1%) for 198 yards in addition to the short touchdown. However, he saw one of his passes intercepted by Marshon Lattimore.
