The Toronto Blue Jays released Breyvic Valera on Tuesday.
They also assigned right-hander Shaun Anderson to the Buffalo club in the AAA.
The 29-year-old is batting for .253 with a homerun and 15 RBIs in 39 games in 2021, his first full season with the Jays.
He had played five games in 2019 after being acquired from the New York Yankees.
The Blue Jays have also announced that all other players without contracts currently on the formation of 40 players have received contract offers.
