Mireia Prat (69), 32 years old, is proclaimed champion of Spain this Saturday of professionals by winning the Real Club Golf Sevilla Golf in the tournament that, in addition, was the culmination of the Santander Golf Tour 2021. Prat had an advantage in a shot to the Malaga Ana Pelez (70) who threw a putt for birdie that did not enter and with whom he could have forced the tiebreaker.
Prat benefited from the problems he had on the last day Laura Gmez (76), who had started five strokes ahead of the champion on the final day. Gmez reached the last four holes with two shots on Prat, but a bogey on 15 and a double bogey on 17 evaporated his aspirations to succeed Luna Sobrn at the palmars.
Mireia, who was playing ahead and only bogey in the last 36 holes, he made two birdies, the same as Pelez on those four holes, and he only had to wait for this unexpected turn to get the win. The young woman from Malaga, 23 years old, who led the Augusta Masters this year, now plays the qualifying school of the Ladies European Tour.
Amateur Clara Moyano, winner of two Santander Tour tournaments this course, in La Corua and Pedrea, received the award for best golfer of the year.
