men’s tennis won a bronze medal

Sunday was the last day of the “Cristo Redentor” Binational Andean Integration Games, played in the province of San Luis. The day began with the dispute in women’s volleyball at Juana Koslay’s Ave Fénix Complex.

Women’s volleyball: San Juan played against the local, San Luis, in a meeting that was complicated in the first set, but that was reversed in the subsequent games, ending with the victory of the San Juan 3-1, with partials of 20-25 / 26 -24 / 25-16 and 25-18, taking the bronze medal. In the final for first place, Metropolitana beat Córdoba 3-1.

Men’s volleyball: San Juan was looking for its fourth consecutive title, facing Córdoba in the final. In a match of extremely even actions, those of the Docta prevailed in a tie break, with the following partial: 27-25 / 22-25 / 25-18 / 21-25 and 15-12. With this result, San Juan obtained the silver medal.

Women’s basketball: San Juan faced O’Higgins for 7th and 8th place, in a match played at Arenas de La Pedrera, in Villa Mercedes. The victory went to the Chilean team, who won 48-38, leaving eighth place for the San Juan players.

Men’s basketball: Before a crowd, San Luis and San Juan, defined the tournament, in a match where the bustle of five days of competition was felt by the players. San Luis won 67 – 61, taking the gold medal to the joy of the hundreds of locals who filled the stands of the GEPU stadium. San Juan obtained a silver medal.

Men’s tennis: in a match for third place, San Juan beat San Luis 2 sets to one, with an infamous definition in the third set, in the matches played at Club La Aguada.
