Maximum thirteen Belgians in the round of the Champions League

Carrasco, Saelemaekers, Onana, Vertonghen and the Wolfsburg quartet fight to snatch one of the last tickets.

Of the nineteen Belgian players (not counting the Brugeois) present in the group stage of the Champions League, there are only seven who can sleep soundly. Divock Origi (Liverpool), Koni De Winter (Juventus), Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea), Kevin De Bruyne and young Roméo Lavia (Man City) as well as Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) will play the round of 16.

At the end of this final day of suspense, they could be joined by six others, at most, to reach a total of thirteen (the record being fourteen, during the 2019-2020 season). Overview of the challenges of these Tuesday and Wednesday.
