Announced favorite to recruit Anthony Martial (26 years old, 7 appearances and 1 goal in the Premier League this season) on loan this winter, Sevilla FC was refused by Manchester United. While the current 2nd in La Liga offered a loan without an option to buy with the support of part of the salary, the English club requires around 10 million euros to sell its French striker (see here).

According to Marca, the Andalusian club has not yet completely abandoned this track. Seville’s leaders have decided to wait a few days to consider whether a new proposal will be formulated. They also hope that the player will push on his side to cause his departure to Spain. In the meantime, sporting director Monchi is still studying other more affordable options.
