LPGA Tour cards (final): Trois Bleues pursue the lead

Four cards in the 60s, a total score of 267, i.e. 19 strokes under par, and a provisional first place on the leaderboard: at the end of the fourth round of Q-Series, the contract is more than duly completed for Pauline Roussin-Bouchard. The 21-year-old Varoise, already winner of the Stage II of these American cards in October, is in the race for a double blow and above all to secure a place on the LPGA Tour next year. While the cut fell to +1 eliminated 36 players, and she has 12 margin strokes on the first golfers outside the top 20, the protégé ofAlain Alberti seems to have already in his pocket one of the 20 full cards of the American circuit. “The course was a good match for my game, but my overall golf has been very good these days which has helped me a lot”, she said Sunday after a high class game on the Crossings Course including eight birdies and a bogey, for a 65 (-7) beaten only by another player.

The three other Frenchwomen present at the golf course Magnolia Grove on the side of Mobile (Alabama) on the other hand lived a Sunday much less serene than their compatriot. Agathe Laisné provided the essentials by making a 71 (-1) which allows her to grab a few places. At -2 in total, the player trained at RCF La Boulie is precisely 42nd, or in extremis in the top 45 which will be awarded (from 21st place) a partial playing right on the LPGA Tour. Julie Aimé for her part fought to bring back a 74 (+3) on the Falls Course, which dropped her to 62nd place at +1 overall, just in the cut. At last Emma Broze couldn’t do better than 72 (+1) on the Falls as well and finished in 81st position at +3, nearly coming back in week two for two hits. The Ligérienne, already holder of a full category on the Symetra Tour since his victory last year at Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic, will therefore remain full – time on the US Second Division in 2022.

The second week of Q-Series will be played over four rounds from Thursday to Sunday at theHighland Oaks Golf Club, another club of the RTJ Golf Trail located in Dothan, still Alabama. The positions and scores at the end of this first week will be kept.
