Lielvārde floorball players beat Talsi NSS / “Krauzers” for the second time this season

“Lielvārde” / “FatPipe” floorball players on Tuesday celebrated their victory in the “Elvi floorball league” men’s tournament game. For the second time in the season, the people of Lielvārde beat the leader of the tournament Talsi NSS / “Krauzers”, this time winning at home with the result 11: 7 (2: 2, 3: 1, 6: 4).

The guests played from the three-goal deficit and in the first half of the third period, when Emils Krūmiņš scored two goals, the result was a 6: 6 draw. In the middle of the third, Nick Blumfeld regained control of the home team, which the “Lielvārde” / “FatPipe” floorball players no longer lost hands. Aivis Kusiņš stood out with three goals and a pass. Krūmiņš was in the ranks of his opponents.

The team leader of the tournament with 29 points in 13 games is the Talsi NSS / “Krauzers” team, 26 points in the ten and 12 dues are for the floorball players of Cēsis “Lekrings” and “Ķekava”, but the Oxdog Ulbroka / LU team has gained 25 points in 13 battles. 12 teams are fighting for medals in the men’s competition this season, but eight units are competing in the women’s competition.

It is planned that each team will meet twice in the main event. The top eight will advance to the quarterfinals. In the series up to four victories of one team, the semi-finalists will be determined, in the series of the same length two teams will be announced, which will compete for bronze medals in Arena Riga next spring, as well as the two clubs that will compete for the big champions’ cup and gold prizes.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2019/2020 season and the state of emergency declared in the country due to it, the Latvian champions and medalists remained unclear, but the last championship was jerked and with fewer playoffs for the same reason. The teams of Kocēni “Rubene” won in the final in Valmiera.
