LIDOM: Leones del Escogido changes manager, Ronny Paulino remains

Due to the bad step that the team is taking in the current 2021-2022 Season of the Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic (LIDOM), the Operations management of the Leones del Escogido announced that Ronny Paulino is the new leader of the scarlet team, replacing Rodney Linares.

Paulino, who served as the Lions hitting coach, takes the reins from Wednesday night for the duel against the Toros del Este, at the Francisco Micheli stadium in La Romana.

Lions are in fifth position with a 12-15 record, one game behind the fourth place occupied by the Tigres del Licey (13-14) and two from the second position shared by the Águilas Cibaeñas (14-13) and the Gigantes del Cibao (14-13) ).

This will be the Paulino’s first experience as a manager in the Creole autumn-winter ball. Prior to this campaign, he held the role of hitting instructor with the Eastern Stars in the 2020-21 tournament.
