Robert Lewandowski has the opportunity to surpass Gerd Mueller’s record this weekend. Bayern will host Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena (18/12) WIB, which marks their final match in 2021 or before the competition break.

With Lewandowski’s contribution, Bayern Munich is now more comfortable at the top of the German League standings. The Reds unwavering after collecting 40 points from 16 games, nine points clear of nearest rivals Borussia Dortmund who still have a game in hand.

“It was not an easy game, but especially in the second half when it was 5-0, we had a lot of fun on the pitch,” Bayern senior player Thomas Mueller told the club’s official website.

“The pitch was not in the best condition so the ball was a bit difficult to control. But it gave us a lot of room to move when we won the ball. Stuttgart’s high defense made the game difficult for us, but it made scoring goals easier,” he said.
